Therapeutic approach:

Integrating evidence-based and person-centred therapies

My primary goals in therapy are to create an open and non-judgmental environment where clients can feel safe to address the issues they want help with, encourage personal insight and growth as well as provide practical tools and strategies to help manage distress and navigate life's challenges and obstacles.

My therapeutic approach integrates evidence-based methodologies—including Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy, Meta-Cognitive Therapy, and Acceptance & Commitment Therapy—with person-centred modalities such as Narrative, Existential, and Internal Family Systems. This combination provides structure and techniques to treat specific symptoms effectively, while ensuring that your individual needs and goals remain central and guide our work together.

As we progress, we can explore possible barriers that may be hindering change, identifying areas where you want to improve as well as bolstering your existing strengths. Through compassionate discussion and research-backed methods, I'll guide you towards a path of lasting change and sustainable mental health and well-being.

Therapy or Counselling

What is right for you?

Psychotherapy

(CBT, MCT, ACT, Narrative)

Therapy is a process employing fundamental therapeutic techniques to help individuals manage the symptoms and challenges they are facing.

Counselling

Advice/coaching

Counselling; are you struggling but don't really know why? Perhaps you don't need extensive soul searching, maybe clarification, guidance in decision making, motivation towards your next step or re-discovering your resources. This is where counselling with a psychologist can be helpful.

Counselling for relatives

Relatives to individuals suffering from mental illness can experience a great deal of difficulty themselves (no shame in that). It can become difficult to manage daily functioning and maintain a healthy support network.

By gaining an understanding of what their relative is going through, it becomes easier to accept and give support.

Taking care of yourself becomes a necessity when taking care of someone else.
